Hey, I’m Taz Lynch.
I’m an HCPC, BAAT-registered Art Psychotherapist motivated by the belief that therapy should be real, accessible, warm, and grounded in humanity - now more so than ever.
That’s what makes me tick: connecting with people to better understand their unique experience of this world and the challenges they may be facing so that they can make positive, meaningful changes to support their mental health long after they’ve left the therapy room.
In my practice I offer a space for you to feel safe, seen, and heard in your emotional exploration, and working as a psychodynamic practitioner - what you bring into the session is what we’ll lead with. However, therapy can be a confronting experience at times, and part of my role is to gently challenge you to sit in that vulnerability and discomfort to help you uncover parts of yourself that might have previously been hidden.
This is my ‘why’ because for me there is nae greater privilege than working with people to develop these tools.
I’ve experience working in settings including the charity sector, hospice world, and secondary education, and have a particular depth of experience working with grief and bereavement – an area that is a deep passion of mine and one that I champion the conversation of in my day-to-day work and writing.
If you’re interested in knowing what else brings me joy - collecting vinyl, reading, sea-dipping, creating art, and my whippet Cora-Gene are a good place to start.
That’s me, Taz. It’s ace to meet you.
